Singapore’s Republic Polytechnic and Thailand’s KMUTT Forge Academic Partnership

Singapore’s Republic Polytechnic (RP) and Thailand’s King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) joined hands together on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, to sign an MoU for academic collaboration, strengthening ties and exploring cooperation opportunities. The agreement signifies a significant step towards enhancing academic connections and creating valuable cross-cultural learning experiences.

The purpose of the agreement was to foster youth engagement and cultural exchange under the TFI SCALE IX project. RP invited KMUTT for a two-week structured inbound program in Singapore, reciprocated by KMUTT hosting RP students for a two-week outbound program in Bangkok. These immersive experiences promote country, cultural, cognitive, social, and emotional engagements among students. Furthermore, our shared interest lies in promoting technology design, empowering adult learners with essential business skills, reshaping the landscape of business education, and propelling the ASEAN region’s business environment to unprecedented levels of success.

During the meeting, Mr. Ashley Chua, Senior Director of Student Services at RP and his respective team, were warmly welcomed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hong-Ming Ku, Assistant to the President for Internationalization, and KMUTT teams. This collaboration offers students an exciting opportunity for cross-cultural learning and establishing meaningful academic partnerships.
