Internship
Generally, the second or third year students have to attend an internship in order to complete their course studies. Typically, they will undertake an internship either part-time during such semester or full-time in a summer session with the duration varies from 6 –10 weeks, but can be shorter or longer. An internship can be referred to as “work experience” or “industry experience” to attain professional experience or an industrial training. During this period students are expected to use the things they learned and put them into practice. This practical experience will base upon student’s academic background, while providing a jump start to their career and hands-on experience. This way student gains not only work experience in their field of study but also to determine if they have an interest in a particular career, create a network of contacts, or gain school credit. An internship provides the best of both practical experience and personal development that will go along way for your career path and job prospects.
