This workshop will introduce you to the basics of Python programming and how to apply it to manipulate biological data and bioinformatics tasks.
You’ll learn coding skills to work with biological data and solve bioinformatics challenges using Python.
This workshop explores basic concepts of computer programming using Python, including :

10. Exception handlers
11. Object-oriented programming
12. File handling
13. Plotting scientific graphs
    All concepts will be delivered and learned through hands-on exercises, particularly for bioinformatics problems such as handling genetic sequences and parsing biological data files. Also, the advanced topic of compound screening for drug discovery will be demonstrated.
