เมื่อวันที่ 22 มิถุนายน 2569 มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี (มจธ.) นำโดย ผศ. สุชาดา ไชยสวัสดิ์ ที่ปรึกษาศูนย์การจัดการด้านพลังงาน สิ่งแวดล้อมความปลอดภัยและอาชีวอนามัย (ศูนย์ EESH) พร้อมด้วย นางสาวนัยรัตน์ วงษ์เวทย์ นักประชาสัมพันธ์ ประจำศูนย์ EESH และตัวแทนนักศึกษา ได้แก่ นางสาวภัชรพร ชัยแก้ว และนางสาวอุมาริน มณีกอบกุลวงศ์ เข้าร่วมงาน “80 Years of Thailand and the UN: Country Level Engagement on Pact for the Future Implementation” ณ องค์การสหประชาชาติในประเทศไทย
โดยกิจกรรมนี้จัดขึ้นเพื่อรำลึกถึงวาระครบรอบ 80 ปีของประเทศไทยในฐานะสมาชิกของสหประชาชาติและสนับสนุนประเทศไทยร่วมกับประเทศพันธมิตรในการดำเนินการตามแนวทางสำคัญของข้อตกลงเพื่ออนาคต(Pact for the Future) เพื่อฟื้นฟูระบบพหุภาคีภายในงานมีการบรรยายสรุประดับชาติเกี่ยวกับข้อตกลงเพื่ออนาคตสำหรับรัฐสมาชิกและการจัดประชุมโต๊ะกลมเยาวชนเพื่อสะท้อนมุมมองและข้อเสนอรวมถึงแสดงให้เห็นถึงการนำเสียงของเยาวชนไปสู่การกำหนดนโยบายและการขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาในปัจจุบันเพื่อเน้นย้ำถึงการมีส่วนร่วมอย่างมีความหมาย
การเข้าร่วมงานของคณะผู้แทน มจธ. ในครั้งนี้ เป็นการแสดงพลังและตอกย้ำบทบาทของมหาวิทยาลัยในการส่งเสริมเยาวชนให้เป็นผู้นำแห่งการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่มีหัวใจสีเขียว (Change Agent with Green Heart) ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับเจตนารมณ์ของUN ที่มุ่งให้ความสำคัญกับเสียงของคนรุ่นใหม่ในการแก้ไขปัญหาระดับโลก ทั้งด้านการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศและความเหลื่อมล้ำทางสังคมการดำเนินงานนี้สอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืนได้แก่ SDG 4: Quality Education (การศึกษาที่เท่าเทียมและมีคุณภาพ) เป้าประสงค์ 4.7 ในการเสริมสร้างทักษะและปลูกฝังจิตสำนึกให้เยาวชนพร้อมขับเคลื่อนการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน, SDG 16: Peace Justice and Strong Institution (ส่งเสริมสังคมที่สงบสุขและครอบคลุมชเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน) ผ่านการสนับสนุนกระบวนการตัดสินใจที่มีส่วนร่วมและเปิดโอกาสให้เสียงของเยาวชนสะท้อนสู่การกำหนดนโยบายในทุกระดับ และ SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals (ความร่วมมือเพื่อการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน) ผ่านการบูรณาการความร่วมมือจากทุกภาคส่วนผ่านกลไกพหุภาคีเพื่อร่วมกันสร้างอนาคตที่ยั่งยืน

On June 22, 2026, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led by Asst. Prof. Suchada Chaisawadi, Advisor to the Energy Environment Safety and Health Center (EESH), alongside Ms. Naiyarat Wongwet, Public Relations Officer of EESH, and student representatives, Ms. Patcharaporn Chaikaew and Ms. Umarin Maneekobkulwong, attended the event titled “80 Years of Thailand and the UN: Country Level Engagement on Pact for the Future Implementation” at the United Nations in Thailand. The event was organized to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Thailand as a UN member and to support Thailand and its partner countries in implementing the key pillars of the Pact for the Future to revitalize the multilateral system. The event featured national briefings on the Pact for the Future for member states and a youth roundtable discussion to reflect the perspectives and proposals of young people, highlighting the integration of youth voices into current policymaking and development.
KMUTT participation underscores the university’s strong commitment to nurturing students as Change Agents with Green Hearts, aligning with the UN’s vision to amplify youth voices in tackling global challenges like climate change and social inequality. This engagement directly contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 4: Quality Education, Target 4.7 by equipping youth with the essential skills and knowledge to promote sustainable development; SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, Target 16.7 by ensuring responsive, inclusive, and participatory decision-making that values youth perspectives in policy-making at all levels; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, Target 17.16 by enhancing multi-stakeholder global partnerships through multilateral mechanisms to collaboratively shape a resilient and sustainable future.
