Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China Visit to KMUTT

On Monday April 20, 2026, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi had the distinct honor of welcoming a distinguished delegation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China to Bangmod Campus. The visit reflects a shared commitment to fostering international academic collaboration and advancing excellence in education and research.

The HUST delegation was led by Dr. Bo Liu, Chair of the HUST University Committee, and included prominent scholars such as Prof. Xuedong Chen and Prof. Lei Lin, along with senior representatives from the Office of International Affairs and various faculties.

On the KMUTT side, the delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suvit Saetia, President of KMUTT, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chawin Chantharasenawong, Vice President for Internationalization, as well as faculty leaders and representatives from the International Affairs Office.

The program featured institutional presentations from both universities, providing valuable insights into their academic strengths, research priorities, and global engagement strategies. This was followed by an engaging discussion session, where both sides explored potential areas of collaboration, particularly in engineering, science, and innovation-driven research.

A key highlight of the visit was the official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony, symbolizing a significant step forward in strengthening the partnership between KMUTT and HUST. The ceremony was accompanied by remarks from the leadership of both institutions, emphasizing a shared vision to promote joint research initiatives, academic exchanges, and capacity building for students and staff.

The visit concluded with an exchange of tokens of appreciation and a group photograph, commemorating this important occasion and the beginning of a promising collaboration.
