On December 1, 2022, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) led by Dr. Kanyawim Kirtikara (Senior Vice President for Research and Innovation) welcomed MTJA Management, Datuk Joseph Podtung (Chief Executive Officer), Mr. Supat Napanoparatkaew (Deputy Chief Executive Officer), Mr. Wijaiyut Prapawit (Assistant Manager, Exploration and Production Department) and Nur Faradilla binti Mohamed Razman (Senior Reservoir Engineer) on the occasion to visit the University’s research facilities which include Combustion and Energy Research Laboratory and Additive Manufacturing Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Institute of Field Robotics (FIBO).
In this occasion, MTJA had discussed and exchanged research knowledge with KMUTT administrators and researchers, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Montira Nopharatana (Vice President for Industry and Partnerships), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yossapong Laoonual, (Assistant to the President for Sustainability), and Prof. Dr. Navadol Laosiripojana (Director of the Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment).
MTJA or Malaysia-Thailand Joint Authority is recognized as a statutory body under the laws of Malaysia and Thailand and is given full rights to explore and exploit petroleum resources in the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area (MTJDA). As part of MTJA’s operations, a Research Cess Fund has been established for the purpose of supporting research fund to Universities in Thailand and Malaysia.
