The event announced the collaboration between the Cyber Police, KMUTT, and the Institute for Scientific and Technological Research and Services (ISTRS) to develop a new generation of cyber warriors in the “Cyber Warrior Hackathon 2025,” with a top prize of 100,000 baht.

The CYBER CRIME INVESTIGATION BUREAU, or Cyber Police, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), and the Lifelong Learning Promotion Group, Institute for Scientific and Technological Research and Services (ISTRS), a leading educational institution, have jointly organized the Cyber Warrior Hackathon 2025, scheduled from June 6 to July 21, 2025.

The main goal of the Cyber Warrior Hackathon is to enhance skills and knowledge in cybersecurity programming among university students nationwide, while building awareness and competency in digital threats and cyber resilience among the youth. It also serves as a platform to prepare students—who represent the next generation in cybersecurity—for real-world challenges and, potentially, for future collaboration with the Cyber Crime Police in national defense.

In addition, the project encourages innovation and development that is applicable to real-life situations. It aligns with university strategies in developing science, technology, and innovation talent to help build a sustainable future for society and the country.
