








Recently, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led by Prof. Dr. Chaowalit Limmaneewichitr, Vice President for Student and Learner Development, and Mrs. Kunyakamol Khiewvarn, Director of Admissions and Recruitment Office, together with Mr. Kittipong Phaeruangrat, an International Admissions Counselor, visited Jakarta, Indonesia, to participate in an education business matching activity and promote the KMUTT’s international programs under an initiative organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce (DITP). The visit received highly positive responses throughout the trip.
During the Business Matching activity, KMUTT met with representatives from 26 universities and education agencies. Several organizations expressed interest in establishing Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) for academic cooperation with KMUTT. KMUTT was also invited to participate in an education expo scheduled for early December 2026.
Additionally, KMUTT participated as an exhibitor at the “Study in Thailand Education Expo,” attracting a large number of secondary school students, school counselors, and parents. The event featured a special talk show by Mr.Alfie Vere Likhie, a well-known medical student from Universitas Indonesia, who has more than 217,000 followers on social media. He shared insights and personal experiences about studying in Thailand with the participants.
The visit concluded with visits to Universitas Prasetiya Mulya and Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH). Following the visit, KMUTT is preparing to proceed with an MOU for academic cooperation with UPH and will continue to engage with prospective student and interested groups to continuously expand its applicant base in the Indonesian education market.
These activities align with KMUTT’s policy of promoting internationalization and continuously expanding academic collaboration networks with educational institutions across the ASEAN region.
