KMUTT partners with Asia Clean Energy Partners to host the Southeast Asia Corporate Decarbonization Exchange (CDx) 2024, jointly driving efforts to reduce atmospheric carbon emissions.

On October 1, 2024, at the Auditorium, 7th floor, KX Building, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) organized the academic exchange forum on cooperation in reducing carbon emissions, Southeast Asia Corporate Decarbonization Exchange (CDx) 2024, to exchange and learn from leading organizations in net-zero carbon emissions, including government agencies, private sectors, and educational institutions throughout Southeast Asia. Asia Clean Energy Partners and KMUTT were the main hosts of this event. KMUTT, represented by Dr. Kanyawim Kirtikara, Senior Vice President for Research and Innovation, welcomed the participants, together with Mr. Mark Lister, Co-CEO of Asia Clean Energy Partners, who spoke about the objectives and background of the Southeast Asia Corporate Decarbonization Exchange (CDx).

Southeast Asia Corporate Decarbonization Exchange (CDx) is a leading organization in the field of net zero carbon reduction. It was established to share knowledge, provide understanding, solve problems, and take action on the decarbonization challenges of organizations through interactive learning and discussions where all participants can participate in the conversation. In order to push the organizations of member countries to achieve the goal of net zero carbon emissions, as each country has declared its intention at the Conference of Parties (COP). At the 28th Conference, more than 124 member countries announced their intention, pledging to triple the capacity of renewable energy and double the efficiency of energy use by 2030. At the 26th Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, Scotland on November 1, 2021, Thailand announced its intention to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and the goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065, and has been working towards the goals to this day.
