Faculty of Science students at KMUTT win 4 awards in the Young Rising Stars of Science Award 2023.

The Faculty of Science would like to congratulate the students who received the “Young Rising Stars of Science Award 2023” for presenting their work at The 49th International Congress on Science, Technology and Technology – based Innovation (STT49) at Chalongsiri International Convention Center. 60th anniversary of the reign of the Faculty of Science Prince of Songkla University, Songkhla Province, organized by the Science Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage. Between 23 – 25 January 2024 as follows:

  1. Miss Samatchaya Sangnoi and Mr. Pichai Permsuk, students of the Department of Chemistry Received the Gold Medal Award in the Chemistry category for the topic “COLORIMETRIC DETECTION OF CANNABINOIDS USING DNA APTAMER AND PYRROLIDINYL PEPTIDE NUCLEIC ACID WITH GOLD NANOPARTICLES” with Kornkanya Pratumyot, Ph.D. and Choladda Srisuwannaket, Ph.D. as project advisors.
  2. Miss Ontada Pridasawakul, mathematics department student Mathematics Department student Received a gold medal award Computer branch in the topic “DEVELOPING A NEW CORRELATION-BASED FUZZY CLUSTER VALIDITY INDEX AND ITS SOFTWARE PACKAGE” with Asst. Prof. Dr.Nathakhun Wiroonsri as project advisors.
  3. Mr. Chisanupong Trisuthammas, Mr. Warat Prathipsangkhom and Mr. Chanwit Mingkhwankeeree, students of the Department of Mathematics Received a silver medal Computer branch in the topic “THAI FICTION GENRE CLASSIFICATION BASED ON ONLINE NAIVE BAYES MODEL” with Dr.Warin Wattanapornprom as project advisors.
  4. Mr. Thanadon Jirakanchanasit and Ms. Nataladda Chuwet, former student of the Department of Microbiology Received the Silver Medal in Biology in the topic “THAI FICTION GENRE CLASSIFICATION BASED ON ONLINE NAIVE BAYES MODEL” with  Dr. Sukanya Phuengjayaem as project advisors.
