From May 22–24, 2025, the Continuing Education Center at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi welcomed a group of persons with disabilities from Sa Kaeo Province and participated with them in paying homage to the King Mongkut Monument as part of the orientation activity held at the Seminar Building.
The group also visited Iconsiam Shopping Complex to study accessible architecture, where they were warmly received by executives and staff from Siam Piwat and Siam Piwat Academy. A total of 36 participants took part in this program, which is part of the “Capacity Development Program for Persons with Disabilities for Career Advancement in Sa Kaeo Province, 2025.” This initiative is in line with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security’s Phase 2 policy aimed at enhancing the capabilities and improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities.

This initiative is a collaboration between King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and the Sa Kaeo Provincial Disability Service Center. The project aims to enhance vocational skills, develop individual potential, and provide persons with disabilities with hands-on work experience through the “Office Staff” training course, held from May 19 to September 5, 2025. The program is financially supported by the Fund for Empowerment and Development of the Quality of Life of Persons with Disabilities.
This visit and training opportunity serves as a vital platform to broaden participants’ perspectives, inspire them, and equip them with practical professional skills in preparation for future employment. It also reflects the strong collaboration between the education and business sectors in promoting equality and sustainable inclusion of persons with disabilities in society.
