





On October 22, 2024, the Research and Innovation Division, Faculty of Science, KMUTT, led by Asst.Prof.Dr.Kheamrutai Thamaphat, Deputy Dean for Research, Innovation and Partnerships, along with lecturers and students from the Faculty of Science, traveled to visit and study at Thai Union Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in Mueang Samut Sakhon District, Samut Sakhon Province. The Human Resources Manager welcomed and gave a tour of the company.
Thai Union Group is a producer and exporter of seafood, especially canned tuna. It is one of the main companies of Thai Union Group, a leading seafood company in Thailand and a world-class name. The company has expertise in the production process of ready-to-eat food packed in vacuum-sealed containers to meet the needs of both the domestic market and export to foreign countries.
The main objective of this visit was to discuss cooperation approaches in accepting research assignments to help solve problems for the industrial sector, with an emphasis on accepting research assignments that can be applied to solve problems in factories, in order to develop them into research projects in both academic service formats and sending students for internships in the form of collaborative learning with industry. This visit was also an important opportunity to build a strong cooperation network between educational institutions and the industrial sector, which will lead to sustainable development and increase the country’s competitiveness in the future.
