Faculty of Science Student Association Organize CO – SCI camp project activities #20
On November 15-17, 2024, the Faculty of Science Student Association, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) organized the 20th Science Relations and Graduate Camp (CO – SCI #20) at Kaeng Krachan Camp, Rim Nam Resort, Phetchaburi Province. Mr. Phumin Sutthitham, the camp chairman, reported on the objectives of organizing the camp, which aimed to build relationships for first-year students, get to know friends and seniors from other departments, and enable them to adapt and learn about living in the university community. It also strengthens leadership skills, decision-making skills, and teamwork skills, which are essential skills today.
In this regard, Asst.Prof.Dr. NAKARIN PATTANABOONMEE, Deputy Dean for Student and Learning Development, presided over the opening ceremony and gave a speech to students to boost their morale and emphasized the importance of developing skills necessary for future employment, including communication skills, leadership skills, and thinking skills, according to the desired characteristics of graduates of the Faculty of Science. In addition, Associate Professor Dr. Pongsak Khunrae, representative of the student activity advisor, greeted and gave a speech to students, and the advisors who participated in the activity joined the activity and gave souvenirs to the first-year students.
The camp activities are designed to provide practical learning, such as leadership activities, team building activities, and recreational activities that help build good relationships between students and activity advisors. Students have the opportunity to exchange ideas and brainstorm together to create creative ideas through cross-department collaboration and teamwork in an atmosphere filled with friendship and learning, which is a good starting point for creating a learning society and self-development for new students in the Faculty of Science, KMUTT.
