On June 13, 2025, at 6:54 PM, His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen graciously granted an audience at the Amphorn Sathan Residential Hall, Dusit Palace. Prof. Emeritus Dr.Yongyuth Yuthavong, President of the Council of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, led the university’s executive team to present themselves before Their Majesties to respectfully bestow an honorary doctoral degree.
His Majesty the King was conferred an honorary Doctor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, along with an academic gown and a model of the F-5E aircraft. His Majesty is highly skilled in aviation, serving both as a flight instructor and as a pilot of the royal aircraft. Furthermore, His Majesty has continuously supported education and research in the field of engineering.
.Her Majesty the Queen was conferred an honorary Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Linguistics, along with an academic gown and a traditional Tai Yuan skirt. Her Majesty possesses exceptional proficiency in both Thai and foreign languages, carries out royal duties in international affairs, and serves as a role model in the preservation of the Thai language and culture on the global stage.
