STECO organizes an innovative organization project for sustainability for executives of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT).

On 9 – 10 September 2024, Center for Strategy and Enterprise Competitiveness (STECO), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, organized the Sustainability toward Innovative Organization project for the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) at Novotel Bangna, Bangkok. The project aims to develop the potential of personnel in the succession system, including junior and senior executives, to lead the organization towards sustainability and innovation in the future. The activities included workshops, study tours, and dinner talks.

Asst.Prof.Dr. WATCHARAPOJ SAPSANGUANBOON, Director of Center for Strategy and Enterprise Competitiveness (STECO), gave a welcome speech and introduced the course that provides an opportunity for everyone to learn about management methods and approaches used to create sustainability and growth in organizations, in order to further increase the country’s competitiveness.

For the workshop activity, Dr. RANGSAN KIATPANONT, an expert in data analytics, was a speaker in the workshop Data analytics for decision making, which is a training in using data to make decisions effectively and is an important tool that will help support decision-making at the organizational level carefully and confidently.

After that, the participants of the project were taken on a study tour on innovation and sustainability management to visit automation systems and various technology products that meet market demands and are environmentally friendly at Delta Electronics (Thailand) Public Company Limited. Mr. Chang Tsai-hsing (Jackie), the company’s executive director, gave a welcome speech and introduced the company, which is one of the leading companies that has successfully applied the concept of innovation and sustainability management in its operations.

The event ended with a dinner talk on the topic of “Developing tourism potential for sustainability” by Mr. Weerasak Kowsurat, former Minister of Tourism and Sports, who focused on supporting tourism in Thailand, facilitating both Thai and foreign tourists, safety, and recognizing the importance of environmental conservation at the same time in order to generate income from Thai tourism and create sustainable competitiveness for Thailand.
