On Songkran Day at KMUTT, the executives and staff participated in a making ceremony and poured water to ask for blessings from the elderly.

On the occasion of Songkran, the traditional Thai New Year, and in an effort to preserve the country’s cherished customs and culture, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) organized a merit-making activity which included the ceremonial bathing of the Buddha and a water-pouring ritual to pay respects and seek blessings from senior faculty members. The event was held on April 10, 2025, at the ground floor hall of the Office of the President building. This activity was aimed at preserving Thai traditions and upholding the cultural values of respect and gratitude towards elders. The ceremony was graced by the executives and seniors. These distinguished individuals received the traditional water pouring and extended their blessings. Vice Chair of the University Council, offered words of encouragement, wishing everyone good health. He acknowledged the various challenges the country is currently facing and urged everyone to remain resilient and overcome difficulties. He concluded with a wish for all to lead fulfilling work and family lives, and to continue contributing to a healthy society and environment.
