On November 6, 2024, the Graduate School of Management and Innovation (GMI), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), in collaboration with TBAC (Thai Banking Academy), the Thai Bankers Association, organized a knowledge update seminar “PDPA Update: 2 Years of Enforcement” to update the enforcement situation of the PDPA law, which has a significant impact on all sectors, especially in the financial and banking sectors that must develop strict personal data security standards.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Vorapoch Angkasith, Dean of GMI, gave an opening speech and emphasized the importance of the PDPA law as the key to driving towards international standards. The seminar also delved into important rulings, orders, and secondary laws related to preparing and enhancing data protection in the future.
