Official unveiling ceremony for KMUTT’s 65th anniversary logo

On October 4, 2024, at the Prapha Prachaksuphaniti Meeting Room, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) held a ceremony to unveil the official logo marking the university’s 65th anniversary. The event was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Suvit Saetia, the university’s president, and attended by the university’s administrators, faculty, staff, and students.

The university’s founding anniversary falls on February 4 each year, and 2025 marks a significant milestone as KMUTT celebrates 65 years since its establishment. To commemorate this special occasion, the university is organizing a series of activities, including a logo design contest that encouraged students, staff, and alumni with a passion for design to participate. The theme of the competition was “65 Years of Wisdom: Crafting Sustainable Futures.”

Two winning designs were selected. The student category winner was Mr. Chanatpong Sanpang, a graduate student from the Faculty of Liberal Arts. The alumni category winner was Ms. Kwantitaphorn Chawanthakornrat, a graduate from the Faculty of Industrial Education and Technology. The winning designs were further refined to create the official 65th-anniversary logo.

The logo features the number “65” alongside the phrase “ภูมิปัญญา 65 ปี สู่วิถีความยั่งยืน” in Thai and “65 Years of Wisdom: Crafting Sustainable Futures” in English, symbolizing the university’s commitment to sustainable development. Key elements in the design include the Thammaraksa flower (Heliconias), an orange fruit, and leaves, with a “3P” shape representing balance in people, society, and the organization. The logo is now available for download at www.kmutt.ac.th/65y

KMUTT invites everyone to take part in this important milestone, with a variety of events planned from October 4, 2024, to February 3, 2026. These include an Open House, academic conferences, community outreach programs, international collaborations, health and wellness initiatives, and fundraising activities.
