King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led by the Office of University Relations in collaboration with the EESH Center and Green Heart student leaders, participated in the “Multicultural and Interfaith Relations: Bringing Happiness to the Thung Khru Community” event by setting up an exhibition booth. The booth featured displays and interactive activities aimed at promoting knowledge on energy conservation, environmental protection, and safety under the concept of “KMUTT: Learning Together with the Community.” Additionally, various recreational activities were organized to engage visitors. The event took place from January 31 to February 2, 2025, at the Chaloem Phrakiat Sport Training Center in Bang Mot, Thung Khru District, Bangkok. Iit was made possible through the collaboration of various stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector organizations, civil society networks, educational institutions, religious and cultural organizations, local communities, and residents. The event aimed to preserve, promote, and pass on the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and local way of life of Thung Khru to prevent them from fading away. Additionally, it sought to increase public awareness of local traditions, foster relationships within a multicultural society, and enhance local tourism by leveraging cultural identity to drive community-based economic growth. This initiative aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030, specifically (1) Goal 8: Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all, (2) Goal 13: Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts, and (3) Goal 16: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels.
