
King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Suvit Saetia, President of the university, along with the university’s executive team and faculty members from the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering which headed by Asst.Prof.Dr. Apichai Bhatranand, Department Head, and the business development working group held a meeting on April 25, 2025, to discuss potential collaboration with Analog Devices (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (ADTH). They were warmly welcomed by Managing Director of ADTH which is KMUTT alumnus from the Faculty of Science, Department of Physics, who also guided them on a tour of the company’s facilities. The discussion focused on expanding collaboration in the semiconductor industry. ADTH, one of the founding members of the Thai Semiconductor Industry Association (THSIA), invited KMUTT to join the association as an academic advisor. Furthermore, KMUTT presented plans for a new Semiconductor (Sandbox) program, scheduled to accept its first students in 2026. This program emphasizes hands-on learning experiences through cooperative education with industry partners. ADTH expressed keen interest and offered valuable insights from an industrial perspective to help KMUTT tailor the curriculum to effectively meet the needs of the industry and cultivate highly skilled professionals for Thailand’s semiconductor sector. Additionally, both parties discussed potential collaboration in practical training subjects to further advance knowledge development. ADTH also extended an invitation to KMUTT to participate in showcasing student internship projects at its upcoming Open House in November 2025. This event aims to introduce semiconductor technology to interested students.
