On February 4, 2025, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) celebrated its 65th anniversary. The university organized a full day of activities, beginning with a Buddhist merit-making ceremony, including a chanting ritual and an alms-giving ceremony with 65 monks. This was followed by a ceremony to worship Ariya Brahma and the royal monument of King Rama IV, King Mongkut the Great. Additionally, a tribute was paid to the monument of Professor Prapha Prajaksupanit, along with an Islamic religious ceremony to bless faculty members, staff, and students with good fortune.





In the late morning, KMUTT held a press conference titled “65 Years of KMUTT: Towards a Full-Fledged Lifelong Learning University.” The event outlined the university’s vision for transforming the educational ecosystem to support learners of all ages, guided by the principles of Excellent, Fair, Affordable, and Transparent Higher Education for All. The conference featured special lectures on key initiatives, including: (1) OneKMUTT – A central learning platform aiming to reach 165,000 registered users and offering over 365 non-degree programs within the year. (2) Learner Journey – A tool designed to help learners map out their career paths in alignment with labor market demands. (3) Credit Bank – A system for credit accumulation and transfer between courses. Additionally, KMUTT is committed to enhancing AI literacy for at least 6,500 students and 650 staff members, while also promoting the development of at least 65 learning innovations within the year.
Another highlight of the event was the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between KMUTT and the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) to establish a Cybercrime Prevention Knowledge Hub. Additionally, KMUTT signed a partnership with the KMUTT-School Consortium, comprising 156 schools nationwide, to promote inclusive and equitable education.






In the afternoon, the university held a certificate presentation ceremony to honor outstanding civil servants and awarded honorary plaques to education supporters and the Foundation for University Development. This event aimed to express gratitude to benefactors who have consistently supported and contributed to the university’s progress.
