August 6, 2025, Third-year Architecture students at SoA+D, KMUTT, showcased innovative ideas for future student residences through the 2025 Integrated Living and Learning Competition, envisioning a new model that seamlessly connects living, learning, and community.
The Integrated Living and Learning Competition aimed to explore innovative design concepts for a new generation of student residences at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). The competition focused on creating a prototype for 21st-century living and learning, reflecting KMUTT’s vision to integrate education and lifestyle within a more connected, collaborative, and technology-driven environment.
As digital technology continues to transform education—especially in science and technology disciplines—the traditional campus model that separates living and learning spaces can no longer fully support students’ needs. To address this, third-year Architecture students at KMUTT’s School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D) were challenged to design future-oriented student residences that foster creativity, community engagement, and sustainable living, while harmonizing with the surrounding Bangmod neighborhood.
