KMUTT Discusses Collaboration with Orthopedia Co., Ltd. to Advance Research, Education, and Workforce Development in the Industrial Sector

On April 4, 2025, a delegation from the Faculty of Science at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led by Asst.Prof.Dr. Kheamrutai Thamaphat, Associate Dean for Research and Innovation, along with faculty members and researchers, visited and held a collaborative meeting with Orthopeasia Co., Ltd. Orthopeasia Co., Ltd. is a leading company specializing in the research, development, production, and distribution of bone fixation materials and surgical instruments, certified to meet international standards. The KMUTT team was warmly welcomed by the Managing Director of the company, and his team. The visit featured an in-depth exchange of insights on industry challenges and opportunities for collaboration between the industrial and academic sectors.

During the discussion, both parties emphasized developing collaboration across multiple dimensions. These included jointly conducting research and academic services that integrate scientific knowledge with the development of medical products and manufacturing processes. They also explored the creation of training programs to enhance the skills of industry personnel, aiming to align workforce capabilities with current and future technological and business needs. Furthermore, the conversation covered the modernization of higher education curricula to ensure alignment with the actual competencies required by the industrial sector.
