On September 29, 2023, the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) organized the event “TOGETHER WE CAN, Create the Sustainable World with GSEE” at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Bangkok to push forward sustainable energy and environmental management. Sustainable by PEA inviting agencies Both the public and private sectors undergo GSEE (Global Sustainable Energy and Environment) standard assessment to reduce energy costs. and reduce environmental impacts and respond to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. By being honored by Deputy Governor of Electrical System Planning and Development Provincial Electricity Authority presided over the opening of the event and presented plaques and certificates to establishments that Passed evaluation according to GSEE standard criteria.
In this regard, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) received building category standards by receiving an average GSEE index score of 4.11 points, which is in the Intensive Sustainability (Gold Certificate) level by MR. PICHAI KOSITPANTHAVONG Director of Building and Ground Management Institute. KMUTT’s representative receiving the award and the Head of Sustainability Development Department attended to receive the certificate.
The GSEE (Global Sustainable Energy and Environment) standard created by PEA aims to evaluate 3 types of establishments: building type, industrial type. and very small power producers or VSPPs. The criteria of the GSEE standard have divided important performance indicators into 7 areas, including leadership (Leaderships) in energy performance (Energy Performance), environment (Environment Issue), innovation (Innovation), circular economy (Circular Economy), renewable energy (Renewable Energy) and sustainability culture. (Sustainability Culture) by PEA promotes GSEE standard criteria for application in various organizations or agencies. You can request an evaluation from a GSEE standard evaluator. Organizations with Gold or Platinum evaluation results will also receive the GSEE logo to include in their products or services.
