KMUTT Hosts Bangkok Sustainability Program 2026, Connecting Thai–Japanese Learning for Sustainable Development
The Graduate School of Management and Innovation (GMI), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) organized the Bangkok Sustainability Program 2026 from 23 August to 5 September 2026 under the theme “Thailand as a Living Lab.” Led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Vorapoch Angkasith, the program welcomed students from The University of Tokyo and Iwate University, Japan, who joined KMUTT students in a two-week international learning and cultural exchange experience.
Throughout the program, participants explored key topics including Sustainability, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Carbon Neutrality, and Sustainable Business through field visits to businesses, communities, and real-world learning sites, as well as hands-on workshops, Thai–Japanese cultural exchange activities, and collaborative team projects. These activities enabled students to connect academic knowledge with real economic, social, and environmental challenges.
At the conclusion of the program, students integrated their knowledge and experiences to develop ideas and present their work in a Final Presentation, demonstrating progress in critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and adaptability in a multicultural learning environment.
Beyond strengthening knowledge and understanding of sustainability, the program broadened students’ international perspectives, fostered networks among Thai and Japanese students, and laid a strong foundation for future academic collaboration and joint initiatives in sustainable development among the participating universities.
