KMUTT invites all students, staff, and alumni to participate in the KMUTT BRAND DAY 2023 Photography Contest.

The contest theme is “KMUTT BRAND ATTRIBUTES” which are Professional, Integrity, Pioneer, and Collective Impact. Show us how you see the identities and DNA of KMUTT.

Prizes include:

  • Total cash prize of 25,000 Baht
  • Honorary trophy
  • Honorary certificates
  • Souvenirs from our beloved sponsor
  • Plus, selected entries will be displayed in a photo exhibition during KMUTT Brand Day 2023.

Contest Categories.

  1. Only for KMUTT students (DSIL/DSS/KOSEN/Bachelor/Master/Doctoral).
  2. Only for KMUTT staff and alumni.

Photography Contest Rules and Regulations:

The contest theme “KMUTT BRAND ATTRIBUTES” is divided into four topics:

1. Professional: KMUTT possesses professional qualities: expertise, mastery of knowledge and practicality.  

2. Integrity: KMUTT upholds and stands for integrity and social responsibility.

3. Pioneer: KMUTT is the leading innovative pioneer at the forefront of innovation. 

4. Collective Impact: KMUTT collaborates with various organizations to discover and make a collective impact on the society.

The prizes have been divided into two contest categories.

1. Only for KMUTT students (DSIL/DSS/KOSEN/Bachelor/Master/Doctoral).

– 2nd Runner-up                     THB 2,000 with Certificate

Rules and Guidelines:

1. The contestants must be students, staff, or alumni of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT).

2. The contestants submit a photograph through the Google Form link. The submitted photograph’s file size should not be less than 2MB and should not exceed 8MB.

3. The submitted photographs for the contest must be taken by Digital Cameras which are DSLR, Mirrorless, Compact, Drone, Action Camera, and Smartphone.

4. The submitted photograph files from DSLR, Mirrorless, and Compact cameras must have a minimum short-side dimension of 2,400 pixels and a maximum long-side dimension of 4,800 pixels, in .jpg file format. The file size of submitted photographs must not exceed 8MB.

5. The contestants may choose to submit only one topic. They must provide a photograph along with captions and photograph detail.

6. The submitted photographs must be original and taken by the contestants themselves.

7. The submitted photographs must not have watermarks, credits, text, or graphics, and should not have white or any colored borders.

8. The contestants are free to enhance their photographs, but the modifications must not distort reality/nature and must not involve the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) programs for photo editing.

9. The photographs and captions submitted for the contest must not violate any laws or infringe upon personal rights, undermine the noble morality of society, or convey any negative message. The content should be creative, positive, and compliant with the rules, regulations, and traditions of KMUTT and Thai culture.

10. The submitted photographs must not infringe upon any copyrights. If proven otherwise afterward, the organizers reserve the right to reclaim or revoke the awarded prizes.

11. The submitted photographs must not be used for commercial purposes or have won any awards in previous contests.

12. The copyright of submitted photographs will be subjected to King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) and may be used for its internal communication purposes without further notice to the contestants.

13. If there are no deserving photographs for any topic in the contest, the university reserves the right not to award prizes for that particular topic.

14. When naming submitted photograph files, contestants are required to use the following format: ‘Topic_Submitter’s Name (in English Language).’ For example, if submitting a photograph for the topic ‘Collective Impact,’ and the submitter’s name is ‘Somchai,’ the submitted photograph file should be named as ‘Collective_Somchai.jpg.’

15. The project organizer reserves the right to make suitable changes to the conditions and regulations as deemed necessary.

16. The contestants agree to abide by all the rules and regulations stated above, and the decisions of the judging panel shall be final.

Scoring Criteria:

– Composition of the image: 20 points

– Relevance to the theme (Select only 1 from 4 topics): 20 points

– Creativity: 20 points

– Aesthetic appeal: 20 points

– Presentation of the idea and meaning of the image: 20 points
