













On June 12, 2025, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), through the Department of Food Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, in collaboration with partner institutions including King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), the Food Science and Technology Association of Thailand (FoSTAT), and the AIAC Association, officially opened the 27th Food Innovation Asia Conference 2025 (FIAC 2025). The event took place at BITEC Bangna, under the theme “Frontier of Food Transformation towards Technology, Innovation and Sustainability.” The conference aims to promote the exchange of knowledge in food science and technology among researchers, entrepreneurs, and consumers both locally and internationally.
The opening ceremony was honored by the presence of high-ranking executives from the participating institutions, who delivered welcome remarks. These included Dr. Kanyawim Kirtikara (KMUTT), Associate Professor Dr. Komsan Maleesee (KMITL), and Professor Dr. Somrerk Chandra-ambhorn (KMUTNB). During the ceremony, the Ajinomoto – FoSTAT Outstanding Food Scientist Award was also presented to food scientists recognized for their exceptional contributions and achievements in the field.
The event featured keynote speeches by distinguished experts from China, Taiwan, and Thailand. It also included research presentations in both oral and poster formats, covering a wide range of fields such as food chemistry, nutrition, fermentation technology, food engineering, and food law.
In addition, the event hosted the FoSTAT Food Innovation Contest 2025 under the theme “Food Innovation for the Silver Generation.” This competition served as a vital platform for advancing food innovation in Asia toward sustainability through collaboration between academia and industry.
