Institute of Field Robotics (FIBO) and lecturers from KMUTT were awarded Science and Technology Awards and research grants at the 31st Toray Science Foundation award ceremony in 2024.

On March 7, 2025, Thailand Toray Science Foundation, held the 31st Science and Technology Awards Ceremony for the year 2024 at The Athenee Hotel, Bangkok. The event was presided over by General Surayud Chulanont, President of the Privy Council, along with senior executives from Thailand and Japan.

This year, the Hospital Automation Research Center (HAC) @ FIBO, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, received the Institutional Award. The award was accepted by Asst. Prof. Dr.Supachai Vongbunyong, Director of the Institute of Field Robotics. Additionally, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Yossapong Laoonual, Assistant to the President for Sustainability Development from the MOVE Research Center, was awarded a research grant for a study on lithium-ion battery safety.
