KMUTT collaborates with SHIBAURA INSTITUTE to held the GPBL program, fostering IoT technology development and English language skills.

The Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, led by Dr. Ekaphol Ketsomboon, in collaboration with Shibaura Institute of Technology, Japan, led by Prof. Hideki Yokoi, organized the Global Project-Based Learning on IoT Device Analysis from February 16–26, 2025, at SCL 102, the Fundamental Science Labolatory Building. The opening ceremony was honored by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tula Jutarosaga, Dean of the Faculty of Science. This program aimed to bring together Thai and Japanese students to engage in group activities focused on studying the internal circuits of Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Additionally, participants took part in a field trip to Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Si Racha, Chonburi Province. The initiative also encouraged Thai students to enhance their English communication skills through various interactive activities within the program.

This year, 34 students participated in the program, including 23 Thai students and 11 Japanese students. The project was supported by private sector organizations, including Puditec Co., Ltd., HORIBA (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Bara Scientific Co., Ltd., CREST Nano Solution (Thailand) Co., Ltd., F.E.S. Co., Ltd., and A.R.T. All Engineering Co., Ltd.

The Global Project-Based Learning on IoT Device Analysis serves as a valuable opportunity for students to develop technological skills alongside international peers while also fostering academic collaboration between Thai and Japanese educational institutions.
