KMUTT Visits Chiang Mai! Launching the “University Visit” Project Across Faculties to Inspire International School Students Toward Higher Education

King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led by the Admissions and Recruitment Office, recently hosted its “University Visit” initiative in Chiang Mai from August 31 to September 1, 2026. The visiting team was headed by Prof. Dr. Chaowalit Limmaneevichitr, Vice President for Student and Learner Development, alongside representatives from Faculties/ Programs: Faculty of Engineering, School of Information Technology, School of Architecture and Design, and Digital Design and Creative Technology (DDCT) Program. The team personally visited local schools to connect with Thai and Foreign students, offer helpful academic guidance, and spark inspiration for their university journeys.

This initiative focused on four leading international schools in Chiang Mai: Chiang Mai International School (CMIS), Singapore International School Chiangmai (SISB Chiangmai), American Chinese International Schools (ACIS), and Varee Chiangmai International School (VCIS). As vibrant hubs for international learners—particularly Chinese students exploring their future educational paths—these schools welcomed the KMUTT team for open, friendly conversations. Representatives shared comprehensive details on academic programs, teaching approaches, scholarship opportunities, entry requirements, and application procedures in a warm and approachable setting with students and counselors alike.

The initiative successfully engaged over 70 students and counselors across four international schools, establishing long-term promotional partnerships. Program interest centered heavily on Engineering, IT, Innovation, and Design, with prospective student details collected for ongoing recruitment support in upcoming admission cycles.

The ‘University Visit’ project marks a significant milestone for KMUTT in elevating educational outreach, raising program awareness, and expanding long-term collaborative networks with international schools. It also creates equal access to academic resources, preparing students for higher education and inviting them to become part of the KMUTT family in the future.
