Prof. Piyamitr Sritara, M.D., Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Mahidol University and Pairoj Boonkongchuen, M.D., Director of Ramathibodi Chakri Naruebodindra Hospital accepted the first set of Mod Boriraksa Robots (the Thai name granted by HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn which literary means Guardian Ant; formerly known as FACO – FIBO against COVID-19), autonomous mobile robots developed by Institute of Field of Robotics (FIBO), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suvit Saetia, President of KMUTT, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Montira Nopharatana, Vice President for Industry and Partnerships.
There, the team of Mod Boriraksa Robot developers led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Djitt Laowattana, founder and advisor of FIBO demonstrated how Mod Boriraksa Robots designed to perform vital functions such as telemedicine and clinician-patient communication complete their duty to reduce the risk of infection with COVID-19 of healthcare professionals during the pandemic.
