On 7 September 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chawin Chantharasenawong, Vice President for Internationalisation, Asst. Prof. Dr. Asawin Meechai and Miss Phattaree Subphachaisirkul, representatives from the Faculty of Engineering, met with a group of Thai researchers and doctoral students currently pursuing their studies and research at leading UK institutions, including Imperial College London and University College London.
The gathering provided an opportunity for participants to exchange perspectives on emerging research trends, technological developments, and career pathways in academia and research. Discussions highlighted the breadth and quality of work being undertaken by Thai researchers abroad, and also explored Thailand’s evolving technology and innovation landscape, opportunities for researchers and academics to contribute to the country’s competitiveness, and career prospects within universities and research institutions. Participants shared valuable insights and experiences from their academic journeys, fostering meaningful dialogue on the future role of highly skilled researchers in supporting national development.
