Strengthening Long-Standing Partnership: KMUTT and University of Luxembourg Enhance Academic and Research Ties

Bangkok, February 19, 2025 – A distinguished delegation from the University of Luxembourg visited King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) to explore new opportunities for expanding academic and research collaborations. The delegation was led by Prof. Marie-Hélène Jobin, Vice Rector for Partnerships and International Relations, and included Prof. Dr. Pascal Bouvry, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine, and Ms. Stefanie Oestlund, Project Manager for Mega Trends. They were accompanied by representatives from the Embassy of Luxembourg, including Ms. Cassandre Renevier, Deputy Head of Mission, and Mr. Pisuth Suvannasankha, Attaché.

The KMUTT delegation was headed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chawin Chantharasenawong, Vice President for Internationalization, and included prominent faculty members from the Department of Computer Engineering and the School of Information Technology. The Vice President expressed his pleasure at hosting the delegation and highlighted the long-standing partnership between KMUTT and the University of Luxembourg, which dates back to 2005. He emphasized the importance of this visit in strengthening existing collaborations and opening doors to new opportunities.

During the discussions, both parties explored various avenues for collaboration, including joint research projects, student and faculty exchanges, and the development of innovative academic programs. The meeting ended with a sense of optimism and mutual commitment to advancing academic and research excellence through international collaboration.
