On November 13, 2024, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), a member of the Sustainable University Network (SUN Thailand), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Prasert Kanthamanon, Senior Vice President for Administrative Affairs, together with Asst. Prof. SUCHADA CHAISAWADI, Advisor of the EESH Center, and Mr. KITTINUT KAEWTHONG, Acting Director of the EESH Center, joined as witnesses and keynote speakers with the representatives of the United Nations in Thailand at the Declaration of Intent with the representatives of the United Nations in Thailand at the United Nations Conference Center for Sustainable Development of the Sustainable University Network of Thailand. The Sustainable University Network of Thailand (Sustainable University Network Thailand) under the Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT) organized the signing ceremony of the Declaration of Intent for Sustainable Development (Statement of Commitment).






In accordance with the policy framework of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation and the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, this is to declare the common intention and show the commitment of all network members to promote, drive and build manpower to address the development of the economy, society and environment of the country to achieve sustainable development. Ms. Gita Sabharwal, UN Resident Coordinator in Thailand, Professor Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, M.D., Chairman of the Council of University Presidents of Thailand/President of Chiang Mai University, Professor Dr. Supachai Patumnakul, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Asst. Prof. Dr. Krissachai Sriboonma, Chairman of the Sustainable University Network of Thailand (SUN Thailand), and more than 300 executives, students, lecturers and staff from 59 universities in the Sustainable University Network (SUN Thailand) joined the declaration of intention.
