Building Early, Leading Forward: A Young Woman Shaping Science Through Action

Ruedhaidham “Natch” Soros represents a new generation of women in science whose impact began early and continues to grow beyond graduation. An alumna of the International Computer Engineering Programme at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), she began engaging with technology-driven initiatives before entering university as part of community-building staff in the tech space, alongside participation in technology competitions and training camps related to machine learning and artificial intelligence as early as 2021.

As a recipient of the Saet Lueang Rueang Rung Leadership Scholarship1, a prestigious KMUTT award for leadership potential, Natch came to view leadership as service rather than status. The scholarship supported her continued engagement in entrepreneurship initiatives, including her role in co-founding UCAN (KMUTT Startup Community) through the KMUTT Startup Playground, an entrepreneurship ecosystem designed to turn ideas into action.

Her journey was never linear. From her first year in computer engineering, Natch consistently applied technology to real-world challenges, focusing on solving human-centered problems through innovation. In 2023, her team from KMUTT won the Microsoft AI for Accessibility Hackathon, reinforcing her belief that inclusion is central to meaningful innovation and that technology can play a critical role in addressing educational challenges. These insights later informed her decision to co-found Eduvice, an EdTech startup focused on improving access to educational guidance for Thai students.

Through continued work and institutional support, Natch participated in international programmes across Japan, the United Kingdom, and China, including activities within the World Technology Universities Network (WTUN). In 2025, she joined the WTUN Accelerated Student Entrepreneurship Programme, supported by WTUN and the University of Bradford, which she described as one of the most formative experiences in her entrepreneurial development and journey. During the programme, she co-developed business models in collaboration with a Chinese co-founder, refined pitching skills, and presented PATHWAY, an EdTech startup focused on global mentorship and international learning pathways, to an international investment panel, receiving programme recognition and seed investment support from WTUN, UoB, and angel investors.

Last year, Natch was honoured with The Royal Award for Outstanding Higher Education Student from Thailand’s Ministry of Education. Today, she continues to lead both Eduvice and PATHWAY as CEO, building EdTech ventures that help high-school students explore educational pathways through mentorship, real-world experience, and informed choice. What began as a student-led initiative has since evolved into a nationally and internationally recognised venture.
