Announcement of KMUTT on Results of the Safety and Readiness Inspection of Buildings at KMUTT
Following the magnitude 8.2 earthquake centered in Mandalay, Myanmar, at 1:20 PM on March 28, 2025, which caused tremors felt in many areas of Thailand and some significant building structural damages in Bangkok.
After the event, and throughout March 29, 2025, relevant faculty members and engineering experts were mobilized to inspect and assess the safety and readiness of buildings, and classrooms across all campuses, as well as the KX Building, in accordance with building and structural survey standards.
The results conclude that the main building structures, electrical systems, plumbing systems, elevator systems, gas systems, and laboratory gas systems in all campuses are safe and ready for use. Normal operations and student examinations will resume on Monday, March 31, 2025.
