On February 18, 2025, the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, KMUTT, hosted a special lecture on “An Overview of the Semiconductor Industry – Trends for Future Scaling.” The event aimed to address the rapidly evolving knowledge and technology in the field, promote research and innovation in the semiconductor industry in Thailand, and support education and workforce development in this sector. The lecture was honored to feature Dr. Luân C Tran, a semiconductor expert from Taiwan, as the keynote speaker. Additionally, Prof. Chia-Chu Chen from the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan, also participated in the event. The session was officially opened with a welcome speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tula Jutarosaga, Dean of the Faculty of Science.
This lecture enhanced participants’ knowledge and understanding of the semiconductor industry while providing an opportunity for direct knowledge exchange with experts. The session attracted over 20 attendees, including master’s and doctoral students, faculty members, staff, and representatives from the Office of Industrial Economics, Ministry of Industry.
