The Student Committee of the Department of Chemistry hosted the 21st Bonding Games, a chemistry-related sports competition, with participation from 9 educational institutions nationwide.

On February 8-9, 2025, the Student Committee of the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, KMUTT, hosted the 21st Bonding Games, a sports competition among chemistry students from various universities and educational institutions. The event aimed to foster unity among chemistry students nationwide and build friendships between institutions through sports and recreational activities. The opening ceremony was honored by Assoc. Prof. Dr.Suvit Saetia, President of KMUTT, who presided over the event, along with Asst.Prof.Dr. Anawat Pinisakul, Associate Dean for Administration of the Faculty of Science, who delivered the project report. The ceremony featured a musical performance by the marching band from Wat Phutthabucha School, playing the traditional sports song anthem to mark the official opening at the football field.

The 21st Bonding Games brought together more than 1,500 chemistry students from 9 educational institutions, including: Kasetsart University (Bang Khen Campus), Kasetsart University, Sriracha Campus, Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, Mahasarakham University, Mahidol University, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Silpakorn University, and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi. The competition featured a total of 9 sports, both outdoor and indoor: football, athletics, badminton, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, pétanque, E-Sports, and fun sports. Additionally, recreational activities were designed to strengthen bonds between students from different institutions. This year’s event aligned with KMUTT’s commitment to social and environmental sustainability, emphasizing efficient resource use and minimizing environmental impact. A key initiative was the collection of 15,000 HDPE plastic bottle caps of various colors to produce 300 medals for the athletes. Throughout the competition, a systematic waste separation process was implemented, promoting the concept of sustainable recycling and encouraging proper waste segregation among young people.
