KMUTT President’s visit to partner universities in Japan.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suvit Sae Tia, the President of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), embarked on a significant visit to partner universities in Japan from November 27th to 29th, 2023, aimed at fostering collaboration and strengthening ties between institutions.

On the first day, Monday, November 27th, the KMUTT President engaged in discussions with Prof. Haruaki Nakaya, the interim president of Chiba University along with the delegations from both sides. The day culminated in a signing ceremony to renew the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), solidifying the commitment to continued collaboration.

On the second day, Tuesday, November 28th, the President paid a courtesy visit to Prof. Kazuhiro Chiba, the president of Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology. During this visit, fruitful discussions took place, and followed by the renewal of MoU.

In the afternoon, President Suvit was warmly welcomed by Prof. Jun Yamada, the President of Shibaura Institute of Technology, along with his team. The discussions emphasized the continuity of academic collaborations between two universities.

On the last day, Wednesday, November 29th, the president involved a visit to the University of Electro-communications (UEC) in the morning, engaging in a fruitful discussion with Prof. Shunichi Tano, the President of UEC.

In the afternoon, President Suvit met with Prof. Kazuya Masu, the President of Tokyo Institute of Technology, with the discussions aimed at fortifying existing collaborations.

The presidential visit concludes with a dinner with KMUTT alumni and Thai students in Japan. This event served as an opportunity for sharing perspectives on higher education and career paths, strengthening KMUTT’s confidence in the important roles these individuals will play in improving Thai higher education. The trip underscores KMUTT’s dedication to global collaborations and the advancement of the field of education.
