





On June 12-13, and 17, 2025, executives from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tula Jutarosaga, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Prof. Dr. Poom Kumam, Director of the Center of Excellence in Theoretical and Computational Science (TaCs-CoE), convened with representatives from the International Research Network (CaRe Network). The meeting included delegates from esteemed institutions such as the University of Derby (UK) and CERN (Switzerland), and focused on exploring potential collaboration in joint research, researcher exchanges, and workforce development.
The participants outlined key guidelines for drafting a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support joint research initiatives and the exchange of researchers and students. They also proposed organizing international academic activities to enhance research quality and strengthen the academic competencies of students, researchers, and faculty in alignment with global standards.
This collaboration marks a pivotal step toward advancing research in mathematics and data science in Thailand and aims to foster a robust international research network.
During this meeting, distinguished international experts presented their research and engaged in knowledge sharing related to their academic work. Notable attendees included Prof. Dr. Ovidiu Bagdasar and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lee Barnby from the University of Derby, alongside esteemed colleagues from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), such as Asst. Prof. Dr. Thittaporn Ganokratanaa, Dr. Sansiri Tarnpradab, Dr. Suwat Tangwancharoen, and Kachanon Nirunpong.
The gathering also facilitated a productive exchange of ideas concerning research guidelines and the formation of collaborative research networks among members of the TaCS Center. Participants in these discussions included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wiboonsak Watthayu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thana Sutthibutpong, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Songpon Sriwongsa, Asst. Prof. Dr. Nopporn Rujisamphan, and Dr. Parin Chaipunya.
