Faculty of Science held a workshop on “Leadership for Support Personnel in the Context of KMUTT.”

On February 19, 2025, the Faculty of Science at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi held a workshop on “Leadership for Support Personnel in the Context of KMUTT.” The event took place at SCi Connect, 1st Floor, Scientific Instrument Center for Standards and Industry Building, with the objective of enhancing and developing the skills of support personnel to transition into the role of professional executive assistants. The training also aimed to equip participants with the knowledge to proactively improve their daily work performance effectively. The workshop featured the Acting Director of the Human Resource Development Office and Secretary of the Faculty of Engineering, the Head of the Dean’s Office, Faculty of Science, and Secretary of the Faculty of Science, along with speakers from the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Liberal Arts, who shared their expertise during the session.

The training focused on equipping participants with knowledge and understanding of leadership development for support personnel in the university. Key topics included inspiring teams, effective communication, conflict management, and performance evaluation. Additionally, real-life leadership experiences from KMUTT’s support personnel were shared, enabling participants to apply these insights to their own work effectively. These experiences highlighted opportunities to take on diverse tasks, empathy, mutual understanding and learning, preparing personnel for leadership roles, selecting the right people for the right jobs, and fostering a mindset open to learning and enjoying one’s work.

Additionally, the .workshop. included interactive activities, allowing .participants. to practice leadership and teamwork .skills. through simulated. scenarios. These exercises helped deepen their understanding of the role of support personnel leaders and encouraged discussions on practical leadership skill development strategies that could be effectively applied within their organizations.

This training was part of the Faculty of Science’s support personnel development program, which aims to help staff systematically improve their work, create meaningful and beneficial impacts, and effectively transfer and share knowledge to drive the organization’s long-term success.
