On 19-20 December 2017, the Science Technology and Innovation Policy Institute (STIPI)/KMUTT and Department of Research and Innovation (DRI), Ministry of Education of Myanmar co-organised the bilateral Workshop on the STI Strategy Design and Capacity Development Programme under the Initiative to Establish an ASEAN Open Innovation and Entrepreneurship Platform, at the Department of Research and Innovation in Yangon, Myanmar.
The main objectives of this Workshop were to assess needs and identify priorities regarding science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship in Myanmar. During the workshop experiences were shared among relevant stakeholders with respect to the design of national strategy and industry promotion.
The workshop focused on policy and strategy planning for STI development of Myanmar with an emphasis on food ingredient sector. About 30 participants from the academic, private and government sectors of Myanmar attended this two-day workshop. After the workshop on 20 December 2017, their delegation visited Department of Research and Innovation (DRI) and Yangon Technology University
