Asst. Prof. Dr. Suvaluk Asavasanti, a researcher from Food Technology & Engineering (FTE) Laboratory, the Pilot Plant Development and Training Institute (PDTI) of King Mongkut\u2019s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) has been awarded the 2020 Outstanding Volunteer Award from the Food Engineering Division, The Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), the global organization based in Chicago, USA with over 17,000 members from more than 100 countries who are committed to advancing the science of food.<\/p>\n\n\n
She is the only Thai who was selected from international experts in the global education and food industry to be a Member-at-large of the Food Engineering Division (2018-2020), Education Extension & Outreach Division (2019-2021) and The Professional Development Workgroup (2018-2020). In 2018, she was selected by the Food Science and Technology Association of Thailand (FoSTAT) to represent young Thai food technologists to join the IFT Emerging Leaders Network (ELN), a highly selective global leadership program established for new professionals in the science of food.<\/p>\n\n\n
Highly praised as a devoted and dedicated volunteer, Asst. Prof. Dr. Suvaluk has contributed to IFT\u2019s annual international symposium upon her role of reviewing the students\u2019 abstracts at the conference and organizing the graduate student poster competition.
