Science Technology and Innovation Policy Institute (STIPI) was established on June 1, 2016. STIPI is an STI policy research institute that was the outcome of the collaboration between National Science Technology and Innovation Policy Office (STI) and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT). STIPI aims to be leading think tank in STI policy research that addresses the national and regional challenges.
We has positioned ourselves as a platform to provide practical and strategic solutions with necessary evidences, effective policy processes and capable manpower to aid the transformation of Thailand in partnership with domestic and international stakeholders.

STIPI conducts and promotes empirical researches to enable effective STI policy process
STIPI supports research activities that generate relevant data and information for STI policy process as well as disseminates the result to policy stakeholders
STIPI provides a platform that allows policy stakeholders to gain research, implementation and planning capabilities
STIPI creates and maintains policy relevant databases, e.g. international STI policy databases, national innovation system databases, etc.
STIPI creates network with international and domestic institutes for knowledge exchanges and collaborations
