The production Engineering curriculum is designed to give students a sound knowledge of engineering fundamentals, materials processing and management science so that they may achieve competence in treating not only current technical problems but also those that will arise in the technologies of the future.

The objectives of the curriculum are:

• To lay basic foundation in basic science and basic engineering science.
• To teach fundamental of production engineering including materials science and materials processing.
• To provide some practical experience in production technology by providing more than 400 hours of workshop practice.
• To provide some professional experience through design courses, industrial training and senior project.
• To incorporate the application of new technology.

During the first two years of the program, emphasis will be on basic engineering fundamentals, material science and materials processing and practice in production Engineering workshop as well as basic computational skill. In the last two years, further fundamental engineering concepts are offered with emphasis in drawing these fundamentals together in design courses such as machine design, production design, industrial plant design, experimental design and analysis. Industrial engineering courses which deal with the design, improvement and installation of integrated systems of people, materials and equipment are also concentrated in the last two years. These industrial engineering courses are given to provide potential capacity in management. The program is strenghtened and broadened with related courses in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. In electrical engineering, emphasize will be given in electrical machinery, electronics, instrumentation, and control.
