The Faculty of Engineering at King Mongkut's University of Technology
Thonburi has a proud record of producing engineers with high practical
skills. The Bachelor of Engineering programmes have been designed to provide
solid theoretical base with professional competence, equiping graduates
to play an active role in industry immediately upon gaining their qualification.
The Faculty believes that research and consultancy activities stimulate
the quality of teaching. Accordingly, the Master of Engineering and Doctoral
programmes have been offered and strong links with industries have been
established through ISTRS. Vigorous research and consultancy programmes
are carried out by staff, separately and as teams. These programmes are
inter-disciplinary in nature. The Faculty comprises of 11 departments.

Technical Teacher Training Programme was first launched in 1966 by the Higher
Technical Teacher Training Department. Its name was changed to Industrial
Education Department during the academic year 1973-74. Faculty of Industrial
Education aims at producing instructors (Degree Level) of technicians; carrying
out research and development in technology and related areas, and rendering
technical services to public and private sectors. The Faculty is running
undergraduate and post graduate and programmes in various areas of Industrial
Education. There are six departments as follows :
